A TV anime adaptation of SHY by bukimi miki Jitsuki has been decided. Staff and cast information, a teaser visual, and a teaser PV were also released. The main character Shai / Momijiyama Teru is played by Shimoji Shino. The animation is directed by Masaomi Ando and produced by Eight Bit. The teaser visual depicts the hero Shai and momijiyama Teru, a high school student who transforms into Shai. The teaser PV also shows Shai's "transformation" from the frame drawing of the original work to the animation, along with the character voice of Shai, played by Shimoji. Comments from miki, the author of the original work, Ando, the director, and shimoji, who plays Shai / momijiyama Tell, have also arrived. miki, who also drew an illustration announcing the anime adaptation, expressed her feelings, "I think Shai herself is nervous to death about the anime adaptation, but if her hard work can encourage as many people as possible, I couldn't be happier.
