The novel The King of Heroes by Hayaken will be adapted into a TV anime in January 2023. The main cast and staff, teaser visual, and teaser PV have been released.
The King of Heroes is a TS reincarnation fantasy in which Inglis Eucus, the hero king who established a huge kingdom, is reborn as the daughter of a famous knight family in a world far in the future. Inglis, who has been branded as a disqualified knight, aims to enter the Royal Knight Academy in order to train as a squire for her childhood friend, Raffinia Bilford.
Inglis is played by Akari Kito and Raffinia by Ai Kakuma. The anime is directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya, series composition by Mitsuki Hirota, character design by Reiichiro Oto, music by Kenta Higashioji, and animation production by Studio Comet. The teaser visual depicts Inglis and Raffinia. The teaser PV is filled with scenes of Inglis happily fighting and facing off against a powerful enemy. Comments from Kito, Kakuma, Hayaken, Nagu, the character designer, and Motohito Kuromura, the comic book artist, have also arrived.

I thought it was a very pleasant work to read, with a setting that combined all the best parts of the story. What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
My impression is that she is just a cute, beautiful girl! I think it’s interesting that I often fall in love with the cuteness of myself in this life, since I was a man in a previous life.

I just find Chris’ personality and way of thinking very appealing, even in this life. She? s choices are so irresistible that I can’t help but wonder what kind of choices she will make.

I think Rafinha is a pure-hearted girl who has the ability to be loved outrageously. She is able to deliver what she thinks and feels straight to the heart, and she cheers up the people around her with her words and facial expressions. She is more like a grandchild than a sister! Seeing her like that makes you want to cheer her on, and I will do my best to deliver the charm of Rafinia with a high degree of purity!

On top of that, I personally feel that my old self was awesome, because it was several years ago when I wrote the original part of the story. But there is no guarantee that the me of today will be great, and I want to continue to work hard so that I don’t lose.
