An animated TV anime adaptation of Ren Eguchi’s novel Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill will be broadcast from January 2023 on TV Tokyo and elsewhere, starring Yuma Uchida, Satoshi Hino, and Hina Kino as the cast.
The main character of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is Mukoda, an ordinary salaryman named Takeshi Mukoda, who is suddenly summoned to another world one day. He is now living as a resident of another world, and has acquired the unique skill Net Super. Mukoda is disappointed to find that it is a trivial skill, but in fact, the modern food ordered with this skill has an extraordinary effect in the other world. …… The novel has been published up to volume 12 by Overlap Novels, and Comicgarde has serialized a comic adaptation by K Akagishi and a spin-off manga by Momo Futaba, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Sui’s Great Adventure.
Uchida will play Mukoda, aka Tsuyoshi Mukoda, Hino will play the legendary magical beast Fel, and Kino will play the newborn slime Sui. Kiyoshi Matsuda will direct the production, which will be produced by MAPPA. Comments from each cast member, director Matsuda, and Eguchi have arrived, as well as congratulatory illustrations from Masa, who drafted the characters for the novel, and Akagishi, who is working on the comic book adaptation.
A teaser visual was also released at the same time. The visual depicts a scene in which Mukoda, Fell, Sui, and the others are about to eat a freshly prepared meal. The catchphrase Good food transcends race is written in the center.
In addition, a special live broadcast commemorating the anime adaptation will be distributed on MAPPA’s official YouTube channel from 19:00 on November 3. Uchida, Hino, Kino, and Amatsuki will appear on the program to introduce the appeal of the work, and there will also be a cooking corner by Uchida. In addition, the PV will be shown for the first time and the cast of Ningiriru, the goddess of winds, will be announced during the program.
